We are the Knights (that’s pronounced phonetically - cuh-nig-its - as of the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail) Who Say Cyclic, a group of High School students, all of whom attended 6thgrade at Challenger School. At Challenger, we each gained not only a respect of the English language but also the want to change the world. Our noble mission is to improve America, one step at a time – primarily by improving the U.S.’s tongue and correcting false ideas about how its government functions. So very very annoying...

Ah, the most frustrating thing! I'm reading a very long series, and the library runs out on volume 11. So I go on the internet, and read 12, 13, and 14. And then, I find out that the author has stopped writing the series and no one knows when she will finish it. Arrrggghhh. Has that ever happened to anyone besides me? Also, even more annoying is that my sister and my dad get to go visit Utah... they just left a few hours ago... and I can't go until next summer... Haha all right done with that rant. :) Laga, Sol, I'll just have to wait to see you guys.

In need of good literature!!

I am in desperate need of good literature! A couple days ago, I actually gave in and read a couple pages of Twilight... help me!!!!!! (Sol, Laga, I know I used more than 3 exclamation points... but it was necessary in order to express the fullness of my malnutrition of good books. ) Does anyone have any good books that they would like to recommend? Thanks!

Odin's 2nd Post (Finally!) =)

So sorry it has taken me so long to get another post going, but you know how things get around this time of the year! So, here finally is Odin's long awaited second post:

Calling all founding cuh-nig-its! The time is long overdue to get together and catch up and just have fun without an overlying mission, however important, occupying our minds! I, personally cannot believe how quickly his year along with the two great missions it contained went by! On that thought, baldr, how did your grade go from the knights latest odessey as you called it? I find it so amazing hat christmas is already only four days away! this is always my favorite time of the year, with the scintillating tree, presents ( the best part is the crinkly wrapping paper!!!hehe!!!) and best of all the spirit of giving! I am proposing that, in keeping with the holiday spirit, we all post something worthwhile we have given to this holiday season. I will start: last week, I donated several pairs of gloves, two pairs of ski pants and a ski jacket to hose less fortunate:) keep this new challenge in mind and merry christmas everyone!!!!!

=)

Thank you, Mira, for an exceedingly enjoyable post. =) You make me smile! Yes, happy Christmas, and also happy belated Chanukah and happy early Kwanzaa, and all the other holidays that abound this time of the year. And let it snow, as soon as school ends! It took me over an hour to get to school this morning and I have two+ feet of snow on my roof. Mira probably wants it to snow as well... here's to you, Mira! Snow! =)
Lots of Smilies and Warm Holiday Wishes,
Sol

Christmas is coming!

Christmas is in four days! In the rare case that I will not be able to post on Christmas day, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone! Oh yes, and once again, I would like to beg Sol and Laga to please surrender their addresses to me so that I may send them their Christmas presents-and Laga's book- ASAP. Also, I would like to invite all to post something on the blog before Christmas day even if it is the shortest sentence possible: "I am.", because I believe that it would make a certain individual very happy *cough* Sol. And, it's Christmas! Merry Christmas again!

Book Review from Sol

Baldr's review reminded me of another murder mystery I read recently... (Thanks again Bladr, and I will read your book as soon as the library gets a copy in!) ...that's called And Then There Were None. Intriguing title, isn't it? So all these people receive an invitation from an old friend to meet at a glamerous island home. Their host never shows up, though... and a brilliant, twisted murder mystery with an unexpected ending ensues! Wonderful book, highly recommended.

Cyclic???

Ok, so my cousin Brandon and I were viewing the blog and he asked what cyclic meant. To my dismay I realized that I didn't know either. Sol, please help me.

It is of my personal opinion that we should all choose a book or two and post on what it is about, and why all the rest of the people in the world should read it. Try not to contain spoilers while still intriuging us.
(I'll start shall I?)

The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie: A Flavia DeLuce Mystery
This charming murder mystery is about an eleven-year-old chemist, Flavia, who absolutly adores poisons. Not that she would ever poison anyone, especially not her sisters... well, not unless they really deserved it... which, of course, they do. And it's not like she actually kills anyone or even seriosly injures them. Then one day Flavia's family finds a dead bird on their doorstep, and a dead man in the cucumbers. Flavia is in no way going to let the police have all the fun of solving a mystery and quickly sets about solving it herself.
I absolutly loved this book. It took me about twice as long as it should have because it was so funny that I kept having to get up and quote it to my family. Flavia is my favorite heroine since... well actually she is my favorite heroin EVER. I highly recomend The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie to anyone who values humor, mystery, stamps, or their friend Baldr not killing them.

So, now that you have my example write your own post about a book! Have fun, and always remember that Sol is about the only one that keeps this going. Thanks Sol.

Rant about Courage

Courage. Everyone agrees that courage is a great trait to have - fighting for liberty and your country and defending the Constitution and its rights - but I want you to take a minute to think about the smallest acts of courage we see  (or don't see) every day. I can find nothing worse, nothing more disappointing, than someone who can not find the courage to tell the truth or do the right thing - even when there are only insignificant consequences to their actions. When we commend soldiers or doctors for their courage in battle, in life-or-death situations that many people don't face, we often forget about the little courageous things everyone can do. Standing up for what you believe in, not hesitating to be responsible and take blame or credit for what you did - all are acts of courage, and even if everyone will tell you that's the way you should act, it is in no way how everyone acts. (For your entertainment, the word for fear of responsibility is hypengyophobia.) So, this is a plea for all who read this to be courageous and to ask others to be courageous. Thank you and good luck.
Best wishes,
Sol

Success!

Thanks to all of you who took part in the Excursion, and wishes that next time more Knights will be able to make it. Here's to Bladr, Laga, and S, all of whom executed their noble job flawlessly! It feels so good to know you're making a difference. And we all learned a lot, didn't we? For on thing, that people are more stressed and hurried during the holidays. It was a more arduous task today than last time, no doubt. But we all had a good time and are looking forward to the next assembly/convention/meeting/convergence. =) Thanks again and Happy Hanukkah (which started Decmber 1st at sundown.)
More smilies,
Sol

The Excursion is... Today!

A few things. First, why is no one posting anymore??? We were going great in the beginning, but Odin, you've only posted once and Bladr not much more than that. Just set aside some time to whip up a post a few times a week, please.
Secondly, the Excursion for the Cause, which is today. We're off to share our thoughts and spread the Word of the Knights, and everyone who is going WILL post after we finish, okay? Good.
We're planning a Winter Get-together for sometime at the end of December or in January just to "like, chilax" (unwind, rest, relax) so start checking your calenders to find a suitable day.
Keep commenting on Laga's "November Challenge" post, too. It is extending into December as well, and 500 is still our goal. We welcome non-Knights to comment also.
Smiles,
Sol
