We are the Knights (that’s pronounced phonetically - cuh-nig-its - as of the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail) Who Say Cyclic, a group of High School students, all of whom attended 6thgrade at Challenger School. At Challenger, we each gained not only a respect of the English language but also the want to change the world. Our noble mission is to improve America, one step at a time – primarily by improving the U.S.’s tongue and correcting false ideas about how its government functions. Happy Turkey Day!...

... even though the Turkeys aren't particularly Happy. Okay, bad joke, sorry.
So, hope you all have submitted your ten comments to Laga's post... we have so much to be thankful for, it shouldn't be that hard. Just do it.
I'd like to remind you all that, in addition to checking the blog posts periodically, you should also try to keep track of the various conversations going on in the comments of some of the posts. We'll become more organized as time goes on; thank you for your patience as we gradually work out all the kinks. A few of you (Bladr and Mira) had questions on the Excursions in the comments of one of the posts, and I tried to answer those there. If you still are unclear, email me.
Continue to be on the lookout for possible Knight (cuh-nig-it) additions, and enjoy your day, your food, your family, and all the other 110+ things (so far) we are thankful for!
Smiles (and Sunshine, because it is currently 2 degrees at my glorious home),

Odin : Hello!

Due to some issues of varying nature, Odin is unable to post on the blog himself. So, he emails me his posts and I put them here for everyone to see. Odin's post:

Sorry it has taken so long, but I would like to post:
Hi everybody! This is Odin, Norse god of battle, death, etc., and lord of the gods. I must apologize for my late entrance into this blog. I have now set aside time each day to send in a post. As for the upcoming mission, I would like to report that I am planning on attending and would like to be informed of the location.
Thank you, all of you, who have come together to make this blog possible! Also, thank you to all those who have taken up our noble quest to revitalize the English language. I look forward to contributing to the Cah-Nig-Its blog on a regular basis!

Addition to November Challenge, and Such Items of Concern

To celebrate Thanksgiving Day, all Knights are encouraged to add at least ten comments to Laga's "November Challenge" post. Let's show everyone how thankful we are for everything!
Also, about new members. Honorary Knights will be urged to comment regularly on blog posts, and will be invited to Excursions, meetings, and the like. We're excited to expand our Knight force, so if any of you know of potential Knights, please look into their possible admittance.
December 4th is still on, please RSVP by blog or email.
Pleasant wishes to all, and Happy Turkey Day tomorrow.

New Member?

I would like to propose the idea of inducting a new member to our prestigious gathering of intellectuals. His name is Steven Wilkins. He is 15, believes that the english language needs to be improved, and wants to make a difference in this country. He lives in Utah. Would there be any objections into making him an honorary member? I propose that we give him the privilege of posting on the blog, if not coming on the Excursions. What is everyone's opinion on this matter?

The Excursion...

... will probably be at- uh- dunno, actually. We were originally thinking a park, but December is cold and snowy most of the time, so I doubt that would be either an enjoyable or very successful venture. I'll call you and we can discuss this in greater detail, okay?

The Excursion for the Cause

Well, Balder (the god of inocence and peace [hee hee] and Lord of the Interrobang) was curiose as to where this Excursion's location is. Help.

Monday, November 15, 2010

Seconded

I love that idea, Laga! Wonderful thought. Unless there are any objections, let's start right away - just comment on Laga's post.
Odin, still waiting for your post... I understand that everything's hectic right now, but it really doesn't take too long and it's well worth the effort.
I'm excited for the Giving Thanks challenge - let's go!

November Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
I would like to propose putting off the quote war, in favor of something to celebrate this wonderful season. We all have a lot to be thankful for, and I was thinking a great way to celebrate our amazing lives would be to have a "Gratitude Shout Off". If you agree with me, let's post things we are grateful for, one at a time, as comments. For example, I would post "Red fall leaves" and "Green summer leaves" seperately. That way the comment counter counts how many things we are greatful for. We should be allowed to repeat each other's ideas. Let's see if we can get over 500!!!

My first post!

Hi everyone! This is Baldr, and I am so excited to be a Knight! Good books? You all have to read "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie". I am aware that it sounds like on of those Old-lady-book-club-books, but it really isn't. It is, in fact, a murder mystery.
It's Sol again - hello hello hello! Hope everyone's been enjoying their Saturday.
I want to quickly address two things:
   1) The Knight Outing will be on DECEMBER 11TH probably, not the 5th, and not the 10th. Sorry 'bout those typos. Please tell me ASAP if you can make it - if not, we'll adjust.
   2) We will be introducing a fun way to keep you all interested in posting on the blog - a quote tournament! Quotes must be mostly memorized - as long as they're very close to the real thing you'll be good. Details to follow... start reviewing those quotes!
We will also be establishing a "Post on the Blog" day each week, and you MUST post on that day! If you have no access to a computer... well, make a computer out of whatever's handy. NO EXCUSES for not posting... and Bladr, if you "forget" there will be severe punishments!
Still working on technical issues on the website, hopefully it will be revised soon.
Continuing to wait somewhat patiently for Odin and Bladr.
Peace,
SOL

Thursday, November 11, 2010

So, we have yet to hear from Odin or Baldr... (Thanks for posting, Laga!) By the way, this is Sol. Hoping you fellow Knights have been making progress with Knightly (cuh-nig-it-ly) business, but also hope that you will be able to make time in your busy schedules to post.

P.S. Anyone reading any good books???

Bonjour!

Hello all!
This is Laga, Nordic goddess of Water, ecstatic student who is still trying to make herself enjoy French class, and a person still excited over having discovered the following words today: Banal and Whilom. I think we all can agree that these words are not banal at all! To everyone who has not posted yet, please do so! Yours without wax,
Laga

Hello, Mira!
Glad to see you are "reporting to duty." Ah-hem, my fellow Knights - where art thou?
We Knights are planning to go on an Excursion for the Cause on December 5 of 2010... but we've got a lot of work to do! And even more if you don't use the blog... hint hint... it is a good way of communicating and all that. SO, hope to hear from y'all soon!

Greetings and Salutations

Hello everyone. This is Mira, goddess of music, art, magic, and spiritual beauty, and proud member of the cuhnigits, reporting to duty! Let's go out there and change the world for the better!
