Sure. I think that we shouldn't bather ourselves too much about keeping on topic, though, because the blog is mostly for ourselves and the website's always there if someone wants direct and related info.
ReplyDeletenow there are 406...
ReplyDeleteCool!
Sol: I agree; I don't mean that we should always concentrate on serious topics. I just think it would be good to incorporate it once in a while because we are getting so many views.
ReplyDeleteBaldr: 426!
Great. I am in accordance. Mira, I commend you for keeping on top of your Knightly Blog duty. I'd give you a medal of honor if I had one. =)
ReplyDeleteMira: 453
Sol: I thank thee for thy kindest thoughts. :) I'm sorry you don't have a medal of honor. I saw one on sale at the highly prestigious dollar store, maybe you can get that. ^.^ And, for the record, 465.
ReplyDeleteA highly prestigious dollar store, eh? Yes, I'll try to find one of those...
ReplyDelete...and I wish you good luck. Might take you a couple decades, though. Might be better to start your own.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm all for that! In my ample spare time I'll just whip up a prestigious dollar store, get it running and somewhat successful (at least in the black) and then by one of the Medals of Honor I sell there. A flawless plan. Anyone want to be my business partner???
ReplyDeleteOf course it's flawless; how could it not be? I'll be your partner! By the way, it's buy, not by. ^-^
ReplyDeleteAgg, sorry. Typo-schmypo. My deepest regrets and apologies.
ReplyDeleteLaga, I do beg of your presence in this blog.
Um, you guys are aware that every time we look at a new post, the count goes up? All those views are just us. I know at least 75 of them are mine.
ReplyDeleteLAGA SURVIVES!
ReplyDeleteYes, I know that perfectly well. Chances are that we haven't had more than a few outside views, especially since after the first wave from our first Excursion died down. But, whatever it takes to get our morale up!
Gosh Laga, you're such a downer.
ReplyDeleteSol, can I be your partner as well?
588
Baldr, god of business partnerships
Well, we have to be somewhat realistic. Laga's our Keep-Your-Feet-on-the-Ground-When-Your-Head-is-in-the-Clouds person. You, Baldr, are our comic relief, Mira is our crazy make-you-rethink-what-you-thought-you-knew person, Odin is the hide-and-go-seek, usually-hiding-insteading-of-contributing (HINT HINT) person, and I'm the all-important-Queen-of-Everything/Super-Orc/Doom-High-Priestess-and-person-who-essentially-holds-this-organization-together. Got that straight?
ReplyDeleteYes, I suppose you can be my business parter (assuming you were talking about business?). How little will you work for? What's minimum wage, remind me?
603
Sol, God of Bossing People Around =) In a Nice Way
A) yes I do live! Yay!
ReplyDeleteB) Partners in what business?
B2) what is up with the #s?
C) Remarkable categorization of us, Sol, but you do NOT get to be boss/super Orc (what!?!)
D) Who votes we defeat Sol's mistaken ideas of rulership?
E) Aww, I'm a downer? =(
ReplyDeleteA) Congrats on life. / Congrats on coming back.
ReplyDeleteB) You see, if you keep yourself updated on the comments you won't have to ask these questions. But anyway, the business is a prestigious dollar store, at which one can but Medals of Honor.
B2) The numbers are the total pageview counts.
626.
C) I AM Super Orc, and I have earned being boss by being the only person, essentially, who holds this organization together. =P Bow down to me in gratitude, young earthlings.
D) Now now, Laga, if we do a vote, that would make our organization a democracy, wouldn't it? Who's to keep the majority in check?
E) Who said that? If it was Balrd, as I assume it was, just ignore him. He's not authorized to say such things.
A democracy is still preferable to a dictatorship. Who gave you the right to authorize/ not authorize anything Baldr says?
ReplyDeleteLaga! You used an intterobang!
ReplyDeleteHooray!
641
ReplyDeleteLaga: I gave me the right, of course. But I do think I earned it.
ReplyDeleteBaldr: It wasn't technically an interrobang, because it was being used to express extreme surprise and confusion, not a rhetorical question.
651
It doesn't count? Really?
ReplyDeleteDepends on how you look at it. It's as if you took a grapefruit spoon (you know, the ones that are serrated) and used it to rip up old jeans. Would it still be a grapefruit spoon? By definition of the object, yes, but nor by the definition of the purpose. Then there' Shakespeare's quote, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."
ReplyDeleteOh! Don't get ME started on Shakespeare!
ReplyDeleteand also, as a god, I authorised myself to say anything a please.
Baldr, god of ranting-about-stupid-teenagers-who-think-their-in-love-and-get-married-with-the-help-of-a-stupid-priest-and-then-kill-themselves-for-no-good-reason
722
ReplyDeletePlease, get started on Shakespeare! Isn't he great? I'm rereadin merchant of Venice right now!!!
ReplyDeleteShakespeare is the best thing since sliced bread. (Don't refute that.)
ReplyDeleteI don't see why anyone shouldn't "get started on Shakespeare."
747
And, "BTW," (to use the common idiom), the count is now at 764.
ReplyDelete...787...
ReplyDelete...815...
ReplyDelete...841...
ReplyDeleteCome on, why isn't anyone else commenting?
This is fun stuff.
860! You should know that you can NEVER keep me from randomly jumping into a conversation, Sol. You don't have to beg. :p
ReplyDelete...886...
ReplyDeleteWell, it seems like I actually DID have to beg, because you didn't "randomly jump in" until I pleaded.
907. The first person to comment "1000" after we meet 1000 views will be given one of my prestigious Medals of Honor. =)
ReplyDelete913
ReplyDelete927
ReplyDelete960
ReplyDelete1,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh! Good job. =) Now everyone has a Medal of Honor except Mira and Odin.
ReplyDeleteThe score is as follows : (yes, I'm keeping track)
Winner! 1. Me - I OWN the store, and kind of own hundreds... so yeah...
Tied - 2. Laga - one Medal. Keep up the good work.
Tied - 2. Baldr - ditto.
Tied - 3. Mira - last place. Get snapping.
Tied - 3. Odin - partially excused for lack of gmail account. But not entirely.
AND there'll be another chance to win a Medal at the checkpoint of 1,111 views. Watch for it. Laga is a seasoned... whatchamacallit, so your competition is mostly her. =)
ReplyDeleteWhoooo there Sol. I do have a medal of honor. I was the one you gave one to first... remember?
ReplyDelete:( Quote, " I would give you a medal of honor if I had one, " Since you have now decided that you indeed DO have them, doesn't that mean I have one?
Goshdarnit, you're right. =)
ReplyDelete"Ohhhh, Odddiiinnn," *singsongy voice* "EVERYONE's beating you in the Race to Become the Most Honored."
Oh Sol be nice! ^-^ That's so mean...but, it's funny too... sorry Odin! ^-^
ReplyDeleteHey! It's 1017!
ReplyDelete...and 1021. Was there something special about 1017 that made it worthy of a "hey," Mira???
ReplyDeleteno! I have two.
ReplyDeleteBaldr
yeah, um that anonymous one up there was me... just in case anyone was confused.
ReplyDeleteSol, it adds up to the number "9". that's what makes it worthy of a "hey".
Baldr, god of sore armpits from crutches.
Crutches? What happened?
ReplyDeleteCrutches? Seriously? Oh, that's awful. Crutches are the worst. So what did you do?
ReplyDeleteAnd, by the way, we passed 1,111 views. I win another Medal of Honor for pointing that out. The next available Medal will be for 1,234. Good luck, all.
ReplyDeleteWE ARE PAST 1,234!!!
ReplyDeleteTHREE MEDALS!!
Umm... actually... we're on 1175. If that's past 1234 in your world, well sorry because it;s not in mine.
ReplyDeleteAnd you only had one medal to begin with, didn't you? Just for seeing The Foreigner?
urgh...
ReplyDeleteNo, I had two.
oooh ooh!
ReplyDeletePick me!!
right on 1,234!
Oh, and Sol, I must have thought that it said 1275...
ReplyDeleteThis post has 56 (this is #57) comments. Wow.
ReplyDeleteOkay, THAT time was real. Baldr gets another medal.
If you can tell me the specific reason you might have already had two Medals (versus just now getting your second) then okay.
So, the updated score is as follows : (yes, I'm still keeping track)
ReplyDelete1. Me - obviously.
2. Baldr - two Medals. Keep up the good work.
Tied - 3. Laga - one. Keep working.
Tied - 3. Mira - also one.
4. Odin - still partially excused for lack of gmail account. But not entirely.
And the naxt chance for a Medal is... let's see.. how about 1357 (odd digits)
ReplyDeleteNext. The NEXT chance for a Medal.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I was just reading back on the old comments of this post and it was quite amusing. =)
ReplyDelete1357 is coming up... I don't want to have to award myself another Medal... kinda awkward you know...
ReplyDeleteYou gave it to me via email, but I can't remember what for.
ReplyDeletebaldr (who doesn't want to bother to sign in)
I know we are past 1357, but no one called it, so "1357!!!" Can I have another medal now?
ReplyDeleteAnd how many have you been awarded Sol?
Congrats. Yay you. I don't "award myself" for professional and business reasons, but I own the store that sells the Medals so I "have" all of them (that I haven't sold).
ReplyDeleteSo, the updated score is as follows:
1. Me - obviously.
Tied - 2. Baldr - two Medals. Keep up the good work.
Tied - 2. Laga - two. Congrats.
3. Mira - does Mira really only have one? Sad.
4. Odin - STILL partially excused for lack of gmail account. But not entirely.
Yup, that's the line up. Next chance... I don't know, 1555. Good luck.
Agh! We are so close to 1555! It's killing me! (not literally, but still)
ReplyDeleteYup... And Laga has just warned everyone that it's coming up... So no one has any excuses for not getting it!
ReplyDeleteTHE NEXT PERSON TO VISIT THIS BLOG WILL BE NUMBER 1,555.
ReplyDeleteSO THE NEXT PERSON WHO VISITS THIS BLOG AND POINTS THAT OUT WILL GET MEDAL OF HONOR.
YOU'RE WELCOME.
Thanks Sol! 1555!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the plethora is exclamation marks. I am excited!
Okay, sorry I never responded to this.
ReplyDeleteSo, the updated score is as follows:
1. Me - obviously.
2. Laga - three Medals of Honor! You are officially an honorable person. Like we didn't know that before. =)
3. Baldr - two. Congrats.
4. Mira - does Mira really only have one? Sad.
5. Odin - STILL partially excused for lack of gmail account. But not entirely.
Next chance... I don't know, 1691. (Pay attention to that number; it has been CAREFULLY chosen.)Good luck.
AND, if anyone goes to see Suessical at Hale Center Theater in Orem on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday you will get TWO Medals. (My headmaster is in Suessical, that's why.)
So, it's 1694 right now, but apparently no one was here for 1691, so I call it! What is so significant about the number, Sol?
ReplyDeleteThank you! The significance was that it had already passed. I was 1693-ish. =) Another Medal to Laga, come on you slackers. Next 1776.
ReplyDeleteThis post has 73 comments!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, seriously?
ReplyDeleteEveryone missed 1776. The next person to point it out will get a Medal... I'm literally handing them away right now... NO excuses...
So, what can we get after 1776 then?
ReplyDelete2000. That's only 7 views from now. If Baldr gets it he'll be tied with Laga. If Mira gets it she'll be tied with Baldr. If Odin gets it he'll be tied with Mira. And if Laga gets it, she'll just be further ahead.
ReplyDelete2000! This is too easy.
ReplyDeleteHear that, Mira/Baldr/Odin? "This is too easy."
ReplyDeleteNext - 2012. 5 views from now.
The standings:
Laga - 4
Baldr - 2
Mira - 1
Odin - 0
2011! No one has any excuses for not getting this one.
ReplyDelete2012, on the nose.
ReplyDeleteThis is almost depressing...
ReplyDeleteLaga - 5
Baldr - 2
Mira - 1
Odin - 0
Next opportunity, 2116. Another significant number.
ReplyDeleteI sense an alarming apathetic-ness, childs...
HELLO?!?! ANYONE?!?! Have you all forgotten about this simple and easy way of getting Medals? Even Laga hasn't commented!!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously.
Okay, I'm raising the stakes. Whoever points out the original "2116"th view will get a Medal, but you may also point out the 2222nd, which has ALSO ALREADY PASSED. A giveaway two Medals. Mira...
ReplyDelete2116, and 2222. yay!
ReplyDeleteYay! Mira moves up in the ranks!
ReplyDeleteLaga - 5
Mira - 3
Baldr - 2
Odin - 0
Next chance, 2248. It's not far away, so keep your eyes peeled.
=)
2-2-4-8. -_- Guys, this is getting too easy.
ReplyDeleteLaga, 5
ReplyDeleteMira, 4
Baldr, 2
Odin, 0.
Next, 2290 (Mira, you should appreciate that one! Heehee.)
Not-Mira: I am so indescribably and hopelessly disappointed, saddened, and hopeless.
I am very sorry for ignoring the blog for about a month. Won't happen again. After all, soon I shall have essay-procrastinating as a reason to get on! Jk! (to use text slang). Anyway, 2290 isn't for a while, ya know? By the by, what is our stance on emotocons? Because I like them a lot, but don't want to be un-knightly...
ReplyDeleteNeeh. =P
Hear that everyone? "It won't happen again." I'm going to hold you to that one, dear Laga.=) And I am personally fine with emotocons... I think we ALL use them quite frequently in fact... I believe they are an acceptable way of conveying emotion through text. As long as you don't use them in speech... =) Anyone else have thoughts?
ReplyDeleteHahahaha make sure it doesn't Laga :D And I agree. I think emotocons are very useful in conveying the tone of the message. For example, you could message someone, "Ewwwwwww :D" The :D would help convey the message that the eww was a joke. See..????
ReplyDeleteYes, agreed. So, Odin/Baldr, if you have a contrasting opinion, you'd better get in here QUICKLY.
ReplyDelete2290. LAGA I'M DISAPPOINTED
ReplyDeleteSorry? ^^;;;
ReplyDeleteHuh? What's that, "^^;;;" ?
ReplyDeleteLaga, I must profess that I too am somewhat disappointed... but more disappointed in Baldr and Odin.
Laga, 5
Mira, 5
Baldr, 2
Odin, 0.
Next, 2468.
Neh, that's like an embarrassed/slightly guilty emotocon. I just learned it and I think it's sorta cute!
ReplyDeleteUm... sorry, not seeing it... care to elucidate?
ReplyDeleteThis is the 98th comment on this particular post. Wow. By the way, 2468 has already passed, next one to point it out gets a free Medal.
ReplyDeleteAnyone? Anyone? It's been almost TWO WEEKS since I TOLD everyone that 2468 had ALREADY passed, and NO ONE pointed it out. Are Medals no longer incentive? Should we just drop this?
ReplyDelete"w00t," this is the 100th comment on this post. Speaking of which... is anyone ELSE going to comment on it anymore?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I was just reading back in the early comments on this post and they were considerably amusing. Seriously, we've dropped some good conversations over the past several months, and if we aren't going to revive them, at least look back and laugh.
ReplyDeleteTears! Sadness! Why has everyone dropped this string of comments???
ReplyDeleteThat's 2,909 views.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is still following this string of comments from January, well, you'll get a Medal for 3,000.
But, if the last 8 comments are any scientific proof or at least a pattern, no one else WILL be commenting on this post anymore. =(
