We are the Knights (that’s pronounced phonetically - cuh-nig-its - as of the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail) Who Say Cyclic, a group of High School students, all of whom attended 6thgrade at Challenger School. At Challenger, we each gained not only a respect of the English language but also the want to change the world. Our noble mission is to improve America, one step at a time – primarily by improving the U.S.’s tongue and correcting false ideas about how its government functions. Sounds ok to me. He is completely welcome on the blog and excursions if everyone agrees. If so, he needs to pick the name of a mythological god, preferably Nordic, to be his pen name. What do the rest of you think?
ReplyDeleteWe'd love to have Steven join our noble cause! (Right, Bladr and Odin?) The next excursion is going to be on December 4th - not sure where yet - so if he can come that'd be great. Mira, you're in charge - at least for now - of informing him of going-ons. Tell him the blog address if you haven't already. And we're thinking of having a casual get-together, maybe at a bookstore, later in December, where we can just sit back and get to know each other. Does this sound okay with everyone?
ReplyDeleteI agree that anyone who loves language should be able to join the blog, but (sorry Stephen) I do think we should be careful about who we invite to excursions. I have nothing against a 15-year-old english lover meeting with us, but....you know...I'm kind of suspiciose of everyone. Well anyway hope Stephen is real and I hope to see a post from him soon.
