Shakespeare jokes

I was just reading act one in Romeo and Juliet, and I found this part amazingly funny.
Sampson: "... I will bite my thumb at them, which is a disgrace to them if they bear it."
Abram: "Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?"
Sampson: "I do bite my thumb, sir."
Abram: "Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?"
Sampson: to Gregory, "Is it the law of our side if I say ay?"
Gregory: to Sampson, "No."
Sampson: "No sir, I do not bite my thumb at you sir; but I bite my thumb sir."


Ahahaha!

    It was amusing, wasn't it? When we meet in the summer (with Laga, of course) we need to have a period of Old English talk, including this incredible phrase... remember book a minute classics? :D

    Yes! I remember Daisy Miller to be especially enjoyable, doubly so since we had just read The Turn of the Screw.

    I just read Romeo and Juliet, and I went to book a minute classics and read it again... and I think I enjoyed it more than the actual play.
